Houses can be made of sticks and stones but what about blocks of plastic?
Twenty three year old architect Oscar Mendez, is making waves in the sustainable living realm by building and providing homes for the displaced community, in the Cartagena community of Columbia, South America.

Plastic bricks that were manufactured out of recycled waste, are the main materials used for his structures.
Oscar founded "Columbian Enterprise" in 2010 and his sole mission is help reduce the amount of the region’s homeless population by creating sustainable and reliable shelter for them because everyone deserves a home.
He is also one of the youngest winners of Unilever's, "Young Entrepreneur" Awards, for his initiative.
