You've heard the saying; "it takes a village to raise a child", but have you ever heard, "it takes a bottle to build a village"? Well that's the exact concept that Justine and Jeff Catalano and Robert Bezeau all had in mind when they created the "Plastic Bottle Village”, in Bocas Del Toro, Panama.
The "Plastic Bottle Village” idea came to life when they all realized that the average person uses and discards 14,000-15,000 plastic bottles in their lifetime. That's a lot of waste!

They also realized that there was an abundance of people wanting contribute to saving the earth, by living in sustainable homes made out of recycled materials.
Once the entire "Plastic Bottle Village" project is complete, 83 acres of jungle in Panama will be occupied with completely recycled homes.
