Composting What?

Have you ever heard of a "composting toilet"? Don't worry, we hadn't either until today.

Our friends over at TinyHouseBuild.com showed off a composting toilet called the "Separatte", which is a system that separates urine from solids and releases the solids in a hidden storage bag, for later disposal.

The reason for this type of unit is to offer a system for houses that are too small for a standard septic tank set-up. In our opinion, the "Separatte" is sort of similar to an airplane toilet, but in a manual version.
