We all know that solar energy produces power but what if solar energy could store heat in the form of a solid material?
Just think about the process if you use one of those Mophie solar powered phone cases, that feeds reserved energy into your phone’s lithium battery after dying. It’s not exactly the same concept but it’s pretty close, so you get where we’re going with this.
This new material solid that we’re talking about, comes in a transparent film format and it becomes activated from small bursts of heat, that go on to produce large amounts of heat, that can serve an entire household’s usage needs.
Sunlight exposure fuels these solid materials just like solar panels and if you think about it, the format is very similar to the black sheet inside of a solar panel.
Here’s the skinny on this new technology, that will may eventually become the norm in households and car defrosting systems! http://engt.co/1Sg40Jj
