Wind Energized Trains In The Netherlands

By 2018, the Dutch will be known for more than just Stroopwafel and windmills!

How about they’re going to known for being the first country to have all trains that run on renewable energy?

Wind farm-produced energy is a big thing in the Netherlands and their biggest railway company, Nederlandse Spoorwegen (www.ns.nl/en), joined forces with local energy provider, Eneco,(www.eneco.com) to make all of their trains run on wind energy.

Talk about GREEN innovation!
